Trusting your year is off to an amazing start—Worshipworks is running full steam ahead! We really do enjoy the holidays and some time at home but to be totally honest, we are better and happier when we are busy touching and helping people around the world. (Not that we don’t do that everyday, but you know what we mean!)
One particular morning in the middle of December, I woke up very early with the Lord speaking three words to my heart. They were interesting words and I felt they were not only for us personally but also for Worshipworks Ministries in 2013. As I shared them with Joe, he concurred that they were not only for us but also for many in the body of Christ. As we have shared them in several of the cities we’ve been ministering in, many have agreed that the Word of the Lord was for them as well.
1. Organize speaks of preparation and getting things in order. God is a God of order. It’s hard to imagine that people could embrace mans’ natural way of thinking like a “Big Bang Theory”. In Genesis 1:1-31 and 2:1-3, we see God setting things in order. When Noah was instructed to build the ark, there was a divine order, a set of plans. When Solomon built the temple, there was a plan. I believe in 2013 God wants to bring order in three specific areas of our lives– in our physical realm, our spiritual realm, and in our financial realm. I don’t really have time or space to bring these areas to light, but order and organization is what God is doing in many of us right now! (more on this later)
2. Capitalize—straight up—the Lord said “you must take advantage of every opportunity, no matter how small or insignificant it may seem”.
Eph 5:15-16 (AMP) says, “Look carefully then how you walk! Live purposefully and worthily and accurately, not as the unwise and witless, but as wise (sensible, intelligent people), Making the very most of the time [buying up each opportunity], because the days are evil.
Even if opportunities seem small or insignificant –capitalize! It’s surprising how many of us don’t want to do the little things. I think of corporate America—they don’t leave any stone unturned when it comes to buying, selling, or trading. Yet we the church, tend to turn our heads away from the small opportunities for ministry, only looking for the limelight, or the big church, or the big thing, etc etc. Doing the little things put us in the right place at the right time for God to use us, thus providing greater fulfillment in our lives than ever before.
3. Franchise– speaks of multiplication. My mind goes to some of the largest franchises in our country. They have multiplied or reproduced themselves over and over to expand and explode into every nook and cranny of society.
As I meditated on this, the Lord took me to Mark 6:34-44 (AMP)—I’ll paraphrase a bit for time/space sake–
Jesus had a great crowd following Him and the disciples noticed their fatigue. Jesus had compassion for them and when his “boys” wanted to release them or send them away, Jesus challenged them–
V 37-38 says, “But He replied to them, Give them something to eat yourselves. And they said to Him, Shall we go and buy 200 denarii [about forty dollars] worth of bread and give it to them to eat? And He said to them, How many loaves do you have? Go and see. And when they [had looked and] knew, they said, Five [loaves] and two fish.
V39-40 Then He commanded the people all to recline on the green grass by companies. So they threw themselves down in ranks of hundreds and fifties [with the regularity of an arrangement of beds of herbs, looking like so many garden plots].
V41-44 And taking the five loaves and two fish, He looked up to heaven and, praising God, gave thanks and broke the loaves and kept on giving them to the disciples to set before the people; and He [also] divided the two fish among [them] all. And they all ate and were satisfied. And they took up twelve [small hand] baskets full of broken pieces [from the loaves] and of the fish. And those who ate the loaves were 5,000 men.
As we allow God to bring order (organization) in our lives, and we begin to look for, and open every door of opportunity to be a blessing, (capitalization) we can see the multiplication (franchising) began to take place.
In the above passage, we see all three components in operation—Jesus “organizes” the crowd, “capitalizes” on a little boys lunch, and “franchises” or “multiplies” to meet not only the immediate need, but abundance to take home!
For those of you who like math, it’s almost like an equation–organization + capitalization = the franchising of dreams, visions, blessings, and abundance to bring impact in your world like never before.
Friends, we are only the delivery folks! If this word speaks to your heart, apply it, and watch the Lord move in your life this year. We have already seen it working in our lives within the last three weeks. To God be the Glory!
We will do a following post with some results of what’s been going on in the ministry—you will be amazed.
We want to take this opportunity to thank all of those who’ve partnered with this ministry the past years, and especially those who’ve prayed and sent finances recently. You’re faithfulness to the Lord and His work through us enables us to continue this ministry on an ongoing basis.
We’ve just opened our first music academy, ages 8-18, in Hamilton OH (more on this in the next blog) and we are excited about what God is doing there. We continue to impart the heart of worship and the word to the next generation, producing “the greater works” that Jesus spoke of and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for walking with us for so many years as we follow the Lord and His plans.
