Believing God for Big Things

Thursday, March 27th, 2008

Would you pray with us about something? We believe God is up to something very big and He has spoken to us about the month of April. This coming month, we are going to be ministering on The Work and the Person of the Holy Spirit and God has spoken to us that April is going to be supernatural, a watermark in the life of this ministry. As the Lord brings us to your remembrance, would you pray for us? We are trusting Him for great and mighty things and your agreement in faith means a lot to us.On Wednesday nights, we meet for our Prayer and Praise service called RECHARGE. If you have any special prayer requests, email them to us. We would love the opportunity to link our faith with yours and prayer over your specific needs.  You may email your requests to worshipworksmin@aol.com.Blessings, Ps Joe and Becky

Summer Intensive June 10-27, 2008

Saturday, March 22nd, 2008

IFTAs Summer Intensive Program is a serious option for many of you that have asked if our worship school, Institute for the Arts, provides training other than a two-semester term. Many people are already involved in worship leading at the local church level and cannot come for an extended time of study.

This program is designed to provide the same training environment as IFTA condensed into a three-week block. Of course, time restraints will not allow for the same instruction you would receive in the three-year program, but we can introduce skill-enhancing techniques that will provide you with fundamental elements you can take home to help take your worship team’s musicianship to a new level.

We want to personally invite you to our Summer Intensive Program. What a great opportunity for your personal enrichment or to bring your worship team for a highly focused time of musical training. Whether you are in full-time ministry or you just want to be a better worshiper, we fully believe the Summer Intensive Program will be a great investment for your future.

For more details, go to instituteforthearts.com or cityworshipcentre.com and download the Summer Intensive Brochure.

Come see us. You won’t be disappointed!

We’re Movin’ On!

Saturday, March 22nd, 2008

Well - after much waiting and some blood, sweat, and tears, the new sites are up and running for Worshipworks Ministries, and City Worship Centre! Much thanks to Daphne Bamburg, Dwight, Deke and the team in Florida. We really appreciate your commitment to this project.

We will be tweaking things over the next few weeks and adding updated information, so keep checking back daily. We have lots of exciting things going on over the next few months so stay in touch. And if you like what you see, drop us a note at joeandbeckycruse.com. We would love to hear from you–

On Wednesday night, during our Recharge service, the Word of the Lord came to us regarding “Movin’ On” and since this is our 7th year here in Austin, we truly are “moving on” as we see the hand of the Lord on every side. Sometimes, you want to look back and think what “coulda been, shoulda been, or mighta been” but looking back isn’t the best thing.

The Apostle Paul said it best in Phil. 3:13-14–”Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus”.

And so–we are “movin’ on” to reach forward to what lies ahead, knowing that Jesus is the ultimate prize! I truly believe this is a word for someone reading this blog! Don’t always look back, constantly second guessing yourself! Keep “movin” on towards Jesus! He never fails!

And on this Resurrection Weekend–we here at WMI are making an irrevocable decision to keep on, keeping on because that is what Jesus died for–Life more abundantly! Death, Hell and the grave couldn’t keep Him from “movin’ on” and the challenges of life won’t hold us back either.

Lots of love and prayers to you all–Joe and Becky and the WMI Team!

Life is Good

Tuesday, March 4th, 2008

I was walking through an airport this past week and saw a clothing store called, ‘Life is Good’. Obviously, all of the t shirts, hats, and bags had that same logo on everything in the store.

It was interesting to think of how people view life and just how many consider their own life “good”. I must be honest with you…when you have Jesus….life is better than good. In fact, Jesus said, “I’ve come that you might have life and life more abundantly”! That’s sounds way better to me than just good.

Abundant living supercedes the normal, “ho-hum” grind most people are accustomed to. Abundant living lends itself to life on the edge–never a dull moment, new frontiers to conquer. America was founded because people wanted more than just good. It was that spirit to soar above the mundane that caused people to leave houses, lands, and families in search of a new land that provided more than a “good” life.

Living abundantly is beyond good– it is a “more than you could dare ask or think” way of life that should not be abnormal. As a matter of fact–it should be the “norm” and doing life abundantly should be the quest, as well as, the desire of all God’s kids.

So, don’t just settle for good. Dare to dream, expect the unexpected, run with purpose, look for the miraculous and celebrate each day in the abundance that comes from knowing, loving, and serving the Most High God.

Life, after all is….out of this world!
